What do these error messages mean?
Empire Browser was designed on (and for) 64-bit operating systems. If you get this message, it means that your version of Windows is either 32- or 16-bit. We recommend you upgrade to a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or Windows 8 (not RT). If you get this message even if your computer is 64-bit, try installing the Microsoft .NET Framework from here or upgrading to a newer version of Windows (we recommend Windows 8).
We thought that this one was easy enough to guess. It means you're trying to run Empire Browser on Mac OS X. Unfortunately, Empire Browser is for Microsoft Windows only (for now).
Norton keeps flagging Empire Browser Versions 0.1.2 Preview through 1.4.9.0 Developer Preview as dangerous threats due to an "untrusted source" due to them missing an installer. How to fix it: Click the notification and then click the button that says "Restore"; Ignore all dire warnings.

Why do you need Internet Explorer to run Empire?
Because Empire is programmed with the VB.NET WebBrowser control, that uses Internet Explorer as its base.
If it's powered by IE, does that mean when I change a setting in IE, it does the same for Empire and versi-versa?
Yes it does. That is one of the biggest bugs we've uncovered so far and it will hopefully be fixed in time for the release of Version 1.7 "London".
